A list of Android apps described plainly, with a plain account of what this site is and is not.
A site called Honest App Reviews could be mistaken for a promise, so here is the short version. We collect public information about Android apps and describe it in plain words. We do not test apps, scan them or vouch for them.
We do not install the apps and run them through checks. We do not scan files for malware, and we do not host any files. If an app’s safety matters to you, the store listing, the developer’s own site and your phone’s settings are better places to look than this page.
Pages are built ahead of time and served as plain files, so they open quickly on whatever connection you have.
Small sites get things wrong. If a description is off or a detail is out of date, write to us through the contact page and we will take a look.
Scores of our own, best-of lists, claims that an app is safe or the winner, and modified downloads. The only ratings on these pages are the store’s, shown the way the store shows them.
Honest App Reviews is a small website run by the people who built it. There is no testing lab and no panel of experts behind it.
The descriptions are our own rewording of what is already public. When we do not know something, we leave it out instead of guessing.
Most of what can honestly be said about an app fits on a card.
