What it says it does
Journey planning for German public transport
DB Navigator is Deutsche Bahn’s travel app for checking connections and planning trips by long-distance train, regional rail, S-Bahn, subway, tram and bus. It suits commuters, occasional travellers and anyone combining different types of public transport in Germany. Search results can include walking directions to nearby stops and stations, with the integrated map helping you understand the route.
Tickets and useful travel details
You can book eligible tickets in the app and manage journeys from the same place. DB Navigator also supports the Deutschland-Ticket, including a filter that helps identify connections covered by it. A price search can be used when comparing available fares. For train journeys, the app can show the complete itinerary, coach sequence and where to board along the platform.
Updates before and during a trip
Travel notifications provide current information about a selected journey, which is useful for both longer rail trips and regular commutes. The app also includes a demand indicator to give an advance view of how busy a train may be. On supported journeys, Komfort Check-in lets passengers check themselves in through the app.
Ratings and device support
DB Navigator is listed in the Travel & Local category and is developed by Deutsche Bahn. It has a 4.69 rating from more than 262,000 reviews and over 10 million installs. Wear OS support extends the trip overview to compatible smartwatches, including connection details and push notifications for important updates.
